Now, over two decades later, the cast of characters in his head have only gotten louder, wondering why he has to go to work as a claims examiner for an insurance company during the day when he could just stay home and write. Their mom left when he was 17, and it’s been just him, his brother and his best friend for a long time. Caring, supportive, and patient most of the time. When the book starts, Bear McKenna is one day shy of turning 18 and his worthless excuse for a human being, much less a parent, mother has up and left with her boyfriend of the month and left Bear to raise his five year old brother.
There is an 8 year age difference.
Thanks to the person who pointed this out: With the help of his girlfriend Anna, his best friend Creed and Creed’s brother Oliver OtterBear picks himself up and gets on with the business of making sure the Kid is cared for and loved.
However, it’s offset by the comedic characters throughout the pages.

Bear rehashes the same things over and over and not just to himself, but to others. The kid’s need for knowing exactly where Bear is at all times, to the inch, in fact, makes sense and ottet really well done. Bear was so confused about his sexuality,but he knew that only one person kept him grounded.
I’m sorry I can’t! So much happened from good to bad to worse to best. That’s where the betrayal is. Moved a little slow through the middle but I enjoyed getting to know the characters. Yet tbe book where the gay guy and everyone else assumes that because the guy is gay he won’t be able to have kids.

I’m number to review However, I can’t view it as an original novel, since it is a complete rip-off of the gay themed movie “Shelter” – http: The movie has limited time to diplay characterizations, so is concise with their development. Why not just let them have a conversation or do the flashback from Otter’s point of view??
Surfing is used in the movie as an activity that allows the MC and OB to spend time together and bond. Klune’s genius shines through. If the book was provided by the author or publisher for review, it will be noted on the post. The writing was funny, quirky, and witty, but best of all, it felt like I already knew, and was already best friends with all of the characters. He also asks if guys give better head.
Will treasure these books. I love this character and bsar. The book is much too long. So, he leaves to California to try to get over Bear.
Reader Confessions Where did they go? The OB has a photo of younger MC that he looks at a lot. Until Otter comes home. Amazon Klkne Chance Pass it on, trade it in, give it a second life. Some of the final conversations were just ridiculous and unbelievable. Otter complemented this story well and was a good force in Bear wnd the Kids life.
